    Nathan Biron (co-founder)

    Nathan Biron is a passionate volleyball coach and athlete, currently helping coach multiple Flight Academy club volleyball teams. As a five-year returning boys volleyball player for Santa Barbara Volleyball Club, Four-time First Team All Mountain League player, All league MVP, and 2025 CIF Champion, Nathan brings valuable experience to his coaching, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and strategy. He strives to create a supportive environment where players can grow, build confidence, and reach their full potential on the court.

    Krista Biron

    Krista Biron serves as the Operations Manager for Santa Ynez Valley Volleyball, overseeing the behind-the-scenes organization that keeps the program running smoothly. She brings strong playing and coaching experience to the role, having competed at Dos Pueblos High School and Allan Hancock College. Krista has helped instruct SYVV clinics and private trainings and has coached Solvang Middle School to two league championships. As a mother of a varsity and club athlete, she offers a valuable parent and athlete-centered perspective, ensuring SYVV operates with professionalism, structure, and care for every family involved.

    These young athletes will be guided by Coach Travis Lishman, who also leads the multiple Flight Academy teams. With a strong background in coaching and a deep passion for nurturing young talent, Coach Travis is dedicated to helping players develop both their skills and character. He's eager to hone in on the principles of hard work, growth, and continued improvement.

    Taulbee Mcginnis (co-founder)

    Taulbee McGinnis brings energy, experience, and leadership to every team he coaches. He leads multiple Flight Academy teams. Taulbee is passionate about player development and creating a competitive, positive environment where athletes can grow both on and off the court. His well-rounded coaching background makes him a valuable part of the Santa Ynez volleyball community.

    Ben May

    Coach Ben May leads SYVV Boys this summer, bringing elite playing and coaching experience. A former Mira Costa standout, he spent four years coaching at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School and helped guide the program to the 2025 CIF Championship. Known for his positive energy, strong technical knowledge, and a talent for connecting with athletes, Ben creates a competitive, positive environment that builds skill and confidence. We're excited to have him leading SYVV Boys and training athletes to a championship standard.

    Chloe Savidan

    Coach Chloe works with our SYVV Littles program, helping young athletes build a strong foundation in volleyball while developing confidence and a love for the game. Combined with her experience playing for Flight Academy Volleyball Club and Varsity Volleyball at Santa Ynez Highschool, Chloe brings a positive, patient, and encouraging presence to the gym, creating an environment where athletes feel comfortable learning, competing, and improving. Chloe’s ability to connect with younger players makes her a valuable part of the SYVV coaching staff.

    Leigh Bode

    Leigh brings an accomplished playing background and valuable collegiate experience to SYVV Beach Volleyball. After a standout high school career that included two League MVP awards and San Luis Obispo County Player of the Year, she continued her volleyball career at UC Santa Barbara, playing libero for the UCSB Women’s Volleyball Team under Kathy Gregory, a pioneer of women’s beach volleyball. Her experience at UCSB helped shape her understanding of the game, athlete development, and the beach volleyball culture she now brings to SYVV. As a coach with SYVV Beach, Leigh is excited to help grow the sport in the Santa Ynez Valley while developing confident, skilled, and well-rounded young athletes.
